Second Summering

Hello, It’s me, Joseph and I’m on the move again with some friendly reminders. Labor Day is just around the corner, like literally, it’s tomorrow. While some see great sales (buyer beware, some deals are worth waiting until Black Friday) and others see the end of summer, I’m here to celebrate the beginning of Summer 2.0.

Labor Day

Let’s just take a brief second to talk about this national holiday. Let’s dive deep: I hope that you love whatever you do. I don’t mean to suggest that your career is absolutely perfect; I just mean that when you take a step back and look at the big picture, are you content with what you see? I can honestly say that I am. The journey has had its twists and turns along the way, but I do believe that my work is intentional and purposeful. I wish the same for you. And, if not, I’m rooting for you and encouraging you to turn your blinker on and head down a different road. It’s not failure; it’s just letting go so you can move forward in a new direction. And, it’s never too late.

Summer 2.0

You know, dear reader, especially if you live in Rochester, that the weather is a roller coaster at best. However, I know there are still many sunny summer days ahead of us and several opportunities to book a holiday in the autumn season. #fallsplendor.

There are also many festivals to consider as we eventually transition to a new season. Again, we’re not transitioning right now. Read that as: have a magarita; put the pumpkin spice latte down, even if it’s iced.

Summer 2.0 Events

Movies with a Downtown View– Friday, Sept. 6th | ET and Ghostbusters

Parcel 5 has been hopping with mid-day fun and also movies at night. This showing is the last one.

Here’s the scoop:

Movie night in the heart of Downtown! All screenings are free and family-friendly. Attendees can grab a bite to eat from local food trucks and enjoy movie concession items. All Movies will be screened outdoors on an 18-foot wide, 10-foot high LED video wall. Attendees are encouraged to bring their own chairs. A limited supply of complimentary blankets will be available at the event.

Clothesline Arts Festival– Sept. 7th and 8th

Speaking of Labor Day and small business, why not support a local artist? At the very least, support a food truck and people watch. There’s so much talent displayed in our own backyard.

Fringe Festival

It’s starts September 10th. There are over 600+ performances. Check out the listing, there’s something for everyone, theater, comedy, music, flying trapezee and more.

Hilton Applefest October 5th and 6th

It’s the 42nd festival so they must be doing something right. This is your chance to take a bite out of the Autumn season. Great vendors, foods, music and crafts. Just to be clear, there’s usually some sunny summer like days, even in October.

The good news is that all of these events are just around the corner from all of our #PineappleROC properties. Let’s connect and book the one that’s best for you.

In a world that gets higgelty, pigglety all too fast, remember that Summer 2.0 is for real. It’s your opportunity to soak in where you’ve been, where you are and where you might be headed some day. Just not today.

Cheers to you!

Joseph
